FAQ

Common Questions

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

ABA is a therapy grounded in the science of learning and behavior. It uses evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning.

Where do sessions take place?

We deliver therapy in your home and at your child's school. Sessions are designed to fit naturally into the environments where your child already spends time.

How many hours of therapy will my child receive?

Hours are determined by an initial assessment and your child's individual needs. Most plans range from 10 to 30 hours per week and are adjusted as your child progresses.

Do you accept my insurance?

We're in-network with most major plans in Massachusetts, including MassHealth. Submit a request and we'll verify your benefits at no cost.

Is ABA therapy covered by MassHealth or Massachusetts insurance?

Yes. Massachusetts law (Chapter 115C) requires most insurance plans to cover ABA therapy for autism spectrum disorder. MassHealth, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, Tufts Health Plan, Aetna, and Cigna all cover ABA services. We handle the verification process for you at no charge.

What cities in Massachusetts do you serve for home-based ABA therapy?

We serve families across Massachusetts, including Greater Boston, Worcester, Lowell, Cambridge, Newton, Framingham, Westford, Chelmsford, Quincy, Brockton, Somerville, Waltham, Natick, Needham, Wellesley, Medford, Burlington, Dedham, Norwood, and many surrounding towns. Contact us to confirm availability in your area.

What is home-based ABA therapy?

Home-based ABA therapy is one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis delivered in your child's home, where learning is woven into real routines — mealtimes, transitions, play, sleep. A BCBA designs the program, and a trained RBT runs daily sessions in your home, with regular BCBA oversight and parent training. Skills built where your child lives generalize faster than skills built in a clinic.

How quickly can we start?

After your free consultation, intake and insurance verification typically take 1–3 weeks. Once approved, we match your child with a qualified therapist and begin home-based or in-school sessions on your schedule.

Who delivers the therapy?

Therapy is delivered by trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who designs and continuously updates your child's program.
